The Volusia County Supervisor of Elections Office is preparing to mail out over 80,000 vote by mail ballots to voters with a request on file.
“Although you may have voted by mail in the past, this does not necessarily mean you will receive a ballot in the mail for this Election. Requests expired at the end of 2022, due to a recent change in law,” said Supervisor Lewis.
With the General Election still over 45 days away, voters may not be thinking about their ballots yet.
“You never know what will happen on Election Day. With the potential for long lines, and six state amendments adding to the ballot, voting by mail allows you to take time to review your ballot and mark your selections,” stated Lewis.
Historically, Volusia County voters have relied on voting by mail. It is safe, easy, and convenient.
To make a request, or check if you have a request on file, visit the Supervisor’s website, VolusiaElections.gov, or call the office at 386-736-5930. The deadline to request is October 24, 2024.
Voters also have the option to track their ballot from mailed to accepted through BallotTrax. By registering for this service, the voter can select their preference for notification (text, email and/or phone call) and receive updates on their status of their ballot. To register for this service, visit VolusiaElections.gov
All vote by mail ballots must be returned to the Supervisor’s office by 7:00pm on November 5. Voted vote by mail ballots may be returned by mail, dropped off at the Supervisor’s office or returned to any Early Voting site during hours of operations. A complete list of Early Voting sites and hours of operations can be found at VolusiaElections.gov
