Training Opportunities

  • Florida Statutes require all poll workers attend mandatory training prior to each election.
  • Poll worker training video on serving voters with disabilities in Florida's polling places produced for the Florida Department of State's Division of Elections.
  • Class length varies according to the position and are usually scheduled 3-4 weeks prior to each election.
  • Poll workers are paid a total sum for training and working on Election Day. However, if a person does not report to their assigned precinct on Election Day training pay may be forfeited.
  • Once selected to work, poll workers are notified regarding date, time and location of training class and precinct assignment.
