How to place a Constitutional Amendment/Initiative or Charter Amendment on the Ballot

    In order to get a proposed amendment by initiative on the General Election ballot, a petition must be signed by 891,589 voters and the signatures must come from at least 14 of Florida’s 27 congressional districts.  For a breakdown by congressional district, please see Appendix A: Congressional District Requirements and Appendix B: Congressional District Map. Paid Petition Circulators

Pursuant to section 100.371, Florida Statutes, a paid petition circulator must register with the Department of State prior to gathering constitutional amendment by initiative petitions.
