Poll Worker Information Sessions

DeLand, FL — The Volusia County Supervisor of Elections is inviting voters to learn more about serving their community by attending one of the two 2026 Poll Worker Information Sessions.

These sessions are designed for current poll workers and those interested in becoming part of the elections team. Attendees will gain insight into the essential role poll workers play in ensuring safe, secure, and transparent elections in Volusia County.

Participants will learn about:

  • The different poll worker positions available
  • What to expect working Election Day
  • Training requirements

In addition, the office will highlight their new interactive Poll Worker Hub, a modern platform that allows poll workers to easily:

  • Update their availability and work preferences
  • Receive assignments and notifications
  • Schedule training sessions

“Our poll workers are the backbone of every successful election”, said Supervisor of Elections, Lisa Lewis. “These information sessions are a great opportunity for anyone interested in being of service to their community to learn more about the process, ask questions, and see how easy it is to get involved with our new Poll Worker Hub.”

Poll workers are a critical part of the democratic process, by assisting voters, ensuring every vote is cast and counted accurately. The Supervisor of Elections encourages civic-minded residents to consider joining the team for the 2026 Election cycle.
