Volusia County, FL - Voters in Port Orange, Lake Helen and Ponce Inlet will head to the polls to vote on three separate items come August.

The Qualifying period for these contests ended on Friday, June 16 at Noon with the following candidates qualifying:

  • Port Orange Special Primary Election
    • City Council District 2
      • Tracy Grubbs
      • Sarah Jones
  • Lake Helen Primary Election
    • Mayor
      • Vernon J. Burton
      • Kelly Frasca
      • Cameron Lane
  • Ponce Inlet Regular Election
    • Town Council Seat 3
      • Arun Iyampillai
      • Skip White

Election Day will be Tuesday, August 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The deadline to register to vote in these elections is Monday, July 24. Those not registered should visit www.VolusiaElections.gov

“I encourage voters to visit our website, www.VolusiaElections.gov, to check their eligibility and voter status prior to the registration deadline,” said Supervisor Lewis.

All voters residing in the city or town limits for these municipalities are eligible to vote in these contests.

Voters will have three safe and secure methods for voting:

  1. Vote-by-Mail
    • To vote-by-mail, voters must have a request on file with the Supervisor’s office. Requests can be made at www.VolusiaElections.gov.
  2. Early Voting
    • Early Voting will take place Monday, August 14 – Friday, August 25 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Supervisor’s office in DeLand.
  3. Election Day
    • Voters must vote at their assigned polling location on Election Day.
