Volusia County, FL -

Lisa Lewis, Volusia County Supervisor of Elections, announces the first wave of vote-by-mail ballots for the 2024 Presidential Preference Primary are on the way to voters.

“Our staff mailed over 25,000 vote-by-mail ballots to those that requested them. Voters should see them in their mailbox any day now,” said Supervisor Lewis.

The 2024 Presidential Preference Primary is only open to those voters registered with the Republican Party. Voters wishing to update their political party or register to vote for this election must do so by February 20.

Voters wishing to vote-by-mail must make a request through the Supervisor’s website, www.VolusiaElections.gov, or by calling 386-736-5930. The deadline to make a request for the 2024 Presidential Preference Primary is twelve days prior to Election Day, March 7.

All vote-by-mail ballots must be received in the Supervisor’s Office by 7pm on Tuesday, March 19.

Voters have the option to mail ballots back with the postage paid envelope included, or by dropping them off at the Supervisor’s Office during normal business hours. They may also return them at an Early Voting site during hours of operation. A complete list of Early Voting sites, dates and hours of operations, can be found at www.VolusiaElections.gov.

Additionally, voters may sign-up to track their ballot from mailed to accepted at www.VolusiaElections.gov. Voters may register to receive a phone call, email, or text updates regarding their vote-by-mail ballot.
