DeLand, FL — Lisa Lewis, Volusia County Supervisor of Elections will host a Candidate Workshop on Friday, February 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
This informative workshop is designed for anyone who has already filed for office, is considering filing, or is simply interested in learning more about the process of running for public office. Attendees will learn the essential Do’s and Don’ts of campaigning, key filing requirements, campaign finance dates, and important election related guidelines to help ensure compliance with Florida election law.
“Our goal is to ensure every candidate has access to accurate, clear information before they begin campaigning,” said Lewis. “Whether you’ve already filed or just exploring the idea of running for office, this workshop helps set candidates up for success while protecting the integrity of our elections.”
The workshop will provide valuable insight for first-time candidates as well as those seeking a refresher of campaign rules and best practices. Election staff will be available to answer questions and provide guidance in a clear, nonpartisan setting.
The event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is encouraged.
